Zac and Brittany met the old-fashioned way: online! Their first date was on April 13, 2018 at a Birmingham Barons baseball game. Despite meeting online, to their surprise, they had many mutual friends and had even met each other’s families prior to meeting each other. If that wasn’t enough, Zac and Brittany later figured out that they also lived one block away from each other, and Brittany teaches kindergarten in the exact same classroom that Zac was a student in. Long story short, they were part of a bigger plan. Fast forward to March 9, 2019. Brittany was sick, and unbeknownst to her, Zac had been planning to propose to her, on this day, since Christmas. He had asked for their families’ blessings, designed the most beautiful engagement ring ever, made sure everything was in place, but Brittany didn’t want to get out of bed. But no good story ends there. Thankfully Zac was able to coerce Brittany out of bed, and to the location of an apartment they had been eyeing as a potential future home. Brittany walked through the front door and proceeded to check every nook and cranny she could find; Zac was a nervous wreck. Finally, she made it to the master bedroom where Zac had set up a beautiful bouquet of flowers, dozens of pictures of the two them together, and spelled out in rose petals were the words, “Marry Me.” Brittany was a hot mess, to say the least, and there would be no story here if she hadn’t said “yes.” The remainder of the day was a blur of happy tears, phone calls, brunch with family, and a special dinner date for the happy couple. It was perfect. Since then, Zac and Brittany have moved into the apartment he proposed in, they have been planning for the most exciting day of the lives, and they could not be more excited to celebrate their special day with friends and family!
