Boating Across Lake Como
For exploring the beautiful towns bordering lake Como, you can catch a Ferry boat that stops in various locations to explore. Check out the link for the map of ferry docks around Como. Public ferry tickets are not necessary to purchase in advance, and can be purchased in town.
Buses around Lake Como
The Bus service is run by ASF AUTOLINE. If/when you arrive via train to the city of Como, you must take a bus to the hotel. The bus stop is almost right outside of the hotel, a very short walk. The bus line that runs between Como and Laglio is C110. You can get bus tickets in the following ways: -Arriva Myticket app -On board the bus, many busses have contactless payment but all accept cash (euros only) -Reloadable Card -At local news stands and convenience stores. Villa del Balbianello
Villa del Balbianello is the most famous Villa on Lake Como. It offers breathtaking views, a gorgeous garden, and fantastic photo opportunities. It was also made famous for it's use as a filming location in the Star Wars films. A visit to this villa is a great and relaxing way to begin a day of sightseeing. This villa can only be accessed via ferry or boat.

City Of Como
The city of Como is the main city that the lake is named for. It has a lot of lovely history and the Old Town comes highly recommended. There is no shortage of shopping, eating and viewing to do in the main city of Como. This is where you will arrive if you travel by train. It is from here that you will take the bus to Laglio. Como is on the southern most tip of the lake.
Varenna
Varenna is a town that is a little bit more low-key and romantic. Primarilly, it is known for all of it's famous historic Villas!
