Lauren and Mike met in high school. Lauren was a freshmen and Mike was a junior. They were in Cooking class together, Lauren wanted to learn how to cook and Mike wanted to eat. Although Lauren admits now she had a crush on Mike at the time, they remained friends for 8 years keeping in touch through social media. One day in August of 2014 Mike ran into Lauren while she was working at the Warwick mall, they hung out a week later and on August 28th, 2014 he asked Lauren out. The wedding date is 4 days before their ten year anniversary.

Lauren and Mike were enjoying their last evening on the beautiful island of St. John. They were enjoying dinner, right on the beach at "Snorkels" restaurant. The sunset was vibrant as dinner arrived. Before taking their first bites Mike got down on one knee and proposed.

Lauren and Michael cannot wait to celebrate with their families and friends. From the very beginning they made it clear to all vendors that they wanted a low key and comfortable wedding. They picked a venue that mirrors spaces they like to hang out in. Food that they love (and hope you do too) and are ecstatic to share one of their favorite local bands during cocktail hour with you! Please arrive at five o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday August Twenty-Fourth at Machines with Magnets at 400 Main street in Pawtucket. The ceremony will begin at five thirty in the art gallery. After the ceremony please join the newlyweds for cocktail hour, enjoy listening to Nova One, a drink (or two) at the bar, and say "hello" to the newlyweds. After cocktail hour guests can order food from "Haven Bros," one of the couples favorite food trucks. No need to request your meal while RSVPing (it's all you can eat!). After some dancing, guests can help themselves to a spread of various desserts.
