How We Met

A Marriage 13 Years in the Making

Ray was transferred to my unit, the 105th Military Police Company just in time for annual training. It became obvious to both of us over the next week that we could be great friends, and the week after, that we could be more. By the time we got back to Buffalo we had talked for hours, sat in comfortable silence for hours, listened to music for hours, stared at the stars for hours, we had laughed, shared, eaten, done adrenaline pumping training, etc. Neither of us wanted it to end. And lucky for both of us, it never did! We officially started dating August 17th, 2011

Our Wedding Date

Ray and I had been talking about getting married for years. Then, on 6-12-23 I made an off the cuff observation that our oldest son, Moe was born on the 6th, and I was born on the 12th, and when I realized Ray was born on the 24th (the short-hand for 2024) I had an impulse thought of how special and significant it would be to get married 6-12-24... and before I knew it I had uncontrollable tears of joy welling up my eyes, and rolling down my face. Ray agreed, and that was it! Our date was set! Bonus! Our wedding date is a fun math problem! 6+6=12, and 12+12=24!

Meet the Family

Raymon Vincent Estrada Jr. - Others would describe him as friendly, extrovert, confident, and intelligent. He would describe himself as "super modest", "the MOST humble", a realist, and informed. I would describe him as hilarious, handsome, creative, and generous. Bottom line, he's a good guy, a great friend, an awesome dad, and the most perfect man for me. Yvonne Janelle Baran - Hello! I'm a stay at home mom, a baker, and a crafter. I love spending time with my family, corny humor, music, and traveling to new places. I come from a close-knit and large Sicilian family, I will always be a Buffalonian at heart (Go Sabres!), and I was a SFC in the Army before leaving after my 12 year career to focus on raising my babies. Raymon Vincent Estrada III - Our oldest son will be 12 years old and going into 7th grade at the wedding. He is in Boy Scouts, participates in national STEM competitions, and likes to code video games in his free time. He is excited that his parents are getting married, and can't wait to tear up the dance floor with everyone! Adrian William Estrada - Our middle son, he will be 3 years old at the wedding. He LOVES dinosaurs, playing in water, and blowing bubbles. We like to do puzzles, read books, and have dance parties. He is extremely hilarious, intelligent, and friendly! If you need a high five at the wedding, he's got you covered! Liam Xavier Estrada - Our youngest son, he will be 1 years old at the wedding. He is SO cute and silly, but a little shy. He loves playing with his brothers, being held all day by his momma, and cuddly naps with his dada. His favorite toys are cars, and his trampoline.
