We are getting married!

Miguel and Yvonne first crossed paths in 2017 at University of the Pacific during Miguel’s final semester. They didn’t start spending time together until the last two weeks before his graduation, but those days were enough to form a lasting connection. They spent hours walking around campus, talking about their families, their interests, and everything in between. When Miguel graduated, Yvonne didn’t expect to see him again, but fate had other plans. That summer, Miguel stayed in Stockton while Yvonne began her internship, and their story officially began. Over the years that followed, they balanced different chapters of life apart: Yvonne continued her studies, while Miguel chased his dreams playing professional tennis in Asia, cared for his family, and began his career. Despite the distance, not a night went by without a FaceTime call. When Yvonne moved to San Francisco for law school, the miles between them shortened, but their days stayed busy. Still, they prioritized each other, growing together while pursuing their own paths. They shared life’s small joys, such as grocery runs, cooking dinners, binge-watching shows, hiking, and exploring San Francisco. They traveled to places like Hawaii, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, and Monterey, and discovered plenty about each other along the way. Miguel realized Yvonne had a love for spreadsheets and planning, and Yvonne learned just how effortlessly calm and easygoing Miguel truly is. In 2022, they blended their families. Yvonne’s cat Penny, and Miguel’s dogs, Kobe and Cookie, all moved in together under one roof. Together, they created their first home, learning even more about each other (like Miguel’s impressive organization skills and Yvonne’s enthusiasm for all things pink). A few years later, Miguel decided it was time to take the next step. He planned a “birthday picnic" for himself, which raised some suspicion since Miguel was not particularly fond of picnics and was never quite able to keep a secret. At their favorite park, surrounded by family and the most beautiful pink setup Yvonne had ever seen, Miguel proposed. Yvonne said yes! On May 30, 2026, they’ll celebrate their love story with all of the incredible friends and family who have supported them along the way.
