We met 8 years ago. Crazy to think that at the time, we didn’t really think much of it. The universe then put our story on pause for the next 3 years... we like to think of it as “We were getting ready for each other”. Our first time out we went to see Jurassic World. There was an attraction and a spark that night. We were both apprehensive at first but, Kris was very persistent and very caring towards Nayeli and I. Within a few dates, we clicked! We were pretty much inseparable after that. We still had a learning curve but we knew we cared for each other and only wanted success for one another. As a team, we have grown and accomplished so much in these past 5 years and we strive for more everyday. We have a place we call home, two lovely children and their big brother Guizmo. Above all, we have one another for love and support. We strongly believe that being in a relationship doesn’t necessarily mean you become one. We believe we must first become the best version of ourselves; to be our own person and love ourselves and only then, it opens the doors for another beautiful soul to compliment one's life and be a part of it. Not only are we a couple but we are best friends. We'll always be there for each other. There is still so much more we want to accomplish and so much more we yet have to learn. We are so READY for it! We can’t wait! We are each other’s LIFE partners and we can’t wait to grow old together and see our children grow and live their life as well.

It was a bright late spring day. I had just had a surgery a few weeks prior and figured walking/hiking was the best way to lose what I could only call a surgery gut. We met through a mutual friend who wanted to drag us up the side of a mountain over an old cog railway that was no longer in service (or never finished; I don’t quite remember). She unfortunately at the time had a boyfriend but I got into her friends list via a need to shorten up the mop that had become the top of my head. I never did end up calling her for a haircut however I did end up making contact with her a few years later for no other reason but to drag each other up that same side of the mountain lol. We ended up skipping that part and going to see Jurassic World. She didn’t fully seem all that interested in me at the time however I was pretty full of myself and just presumed she saw how awesome I was. I pursued her more while scaring the daylights out of her driving my sports car up the side of a mountain where we finally reached the top... together. As time went on, we grew more inseparable and quickly started spending all of our free time together. That was it. I was hers. Seeing as it’s been about 5 and 1/2 years together, there are many adventures we’ve had since. Some of them include mountains, some include ditches but I wouldn’t trade any of them for the world and couldn’t be happier about who I’ve shared them with. I can’t wait to share many many more in the years to come with the woman I love, the pb to my j, the wonderful mother of our kids, my literal partner in crime and in life, Taide Yvonne Luna.
