Our love story began in University, on the legendary FSS Road (to those that know... you really know). One ordinary day turned extraordinary when Finesse (as popularly known by his friends) spotted Yvie and did what any confident guy would do - he parked the car, stepped out and walked straight towards destiny. Finesse, clearly convinced he'd just met "the one", tried his luck and asked for Yvie's number. Yvonne, however, was not in the mood for any pick up lines that day. With grace and a little mystery, she politely declined and dropped a line that would unknowingly change everything (anything to get out of this conversation she thought to herself): "If I see you again, then it was meant to be, and you can have my number" Later that same day, after lectures, Yvie headed to grab some groceries. As she approached the supermarket entrance.. lo and behold - Finesse was walking right out. At that exact moment, fate smiled. Finesse's face lit up with the biggest grin because he knew - this was it. The universe had spoken! Yvonne burst into laughter because she knew there was no escaping destiny this time. No excuses, no plot twists. The number was handed over. That simple exchange, sparked by chance and sealed by fate, happened over eight years ago. What started as a bold hello on FSS Road turned into a beautiful journey of friendship, love and growth. And now, those same college sweethearts are saying "I do." Proof that when it is meant to be, God will make sure you run into each other.... even if it's at the supermarket.
