We were introduced by his good friend Tony and my good friend Monica. They sent us both pictures of each other. Tony gave him my number and he texted and I responded. We had a wonderful conversation on the phone for hours talking about everything. He says he felt right away that he was hooked off our conversation 😍. The very next day as we were engaged in another conversation, somehow we both ended up on an exit ramp getting off I-20. We realized that there were only three cars between us; so, we decided to meet at his job which was close by. He says that when I stepped out of my car, the sun 🌞 was behind me (providing a silhouette for me)...it was at that moment that he heard music 🎶like a chorus singing. He bent down on one knee and said I’d marry you now. The rest is history still being written!

I thought I was having him a birthday party...turns out it was a proposal for me. His sister and my sons helped him plan the surprise. After eating dinner, we gathered to sing Happy Birthday to him. His sister had gotten the cake and told me she was going to wrap it because it was a gag cake. They insisted that I stand next to him while he unwrapped the cake. When he unwrapped the cake, I saw a picture of us and my name. I stepped back because I was like, “why is our picture on his cake?" After looking closer, the cake read “Yvette, your love has changed my life...It would be complete if you be my wife". I started screaming and turned to some of my friends in disbelief. When I turned back to him, he was down on one knee. He asked and I SAID YES! Turned out to be a great CELEBRATION!
