Where should we stay?

Answer

We listed some of our favorite hotels in the Travel page. There are also many AirBnB's in the area. Please let us know if you need help with booking.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be outdoors on the rooftop. Cocktail hour will be indoors.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Cocktail attire - between formal and semi-formal. Fun colors and accessories are welcome and encouraged!

Is there parking available?

Answer

Our venue—the MOXI—does not have on-site parking, but there are several alternatives close by. There are two public lots, one at the Amtrak station next door, and one at the Hotel Californian across the street. There is street parking in the neighborhood behind the museum. Guests also commonly take Uber or Lyft from their hotels.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

To stay within our budget and maintain a more intimate gathering, we’re only able to invite the guests named on each invitation.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your kids! But to keep the event intimate, we’re having an adults-only celebration. The only kids invited will be our cousins’ children visiting from the Philippines.

Can I smoke at the venue?

Answer

No—the MOXI is a non-smoking facility. Smoking or vaping of any products of any kind is not permitted in the building or on MOXI grounds. (Please don't do it, we will get fined 😞)

What’s the weather typically like in Santa Barbara that time of year?

Answer

Santa Barbara evenings can be cool even in warmer months, so a light jacket or wrap is recommended. We will also be providing heaters on the rooftop during the reception to keep guests comfortable.
