Brandon and I (Kasie) met in January of 2017. We met a quiet little country bar in Auburn, Washington called Bourbon Jacks. Brandon had showed up at the bar with one of our mutual friends at the time and introduced us. Only a couple days after that we became dancing partners at a different country bar that we call Big Whisky Saloon. On March 1st, 2017 we went to dinner at The Rock in Federal Way, later on we went to the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma to meet up with a friend. Once we got there the boys played a couple rounds of black jack and won $40. I had a couple dollars left out of the $20 I put in the slot machine. Brandon decided to put in $20 because he had never played slots before. As I sat next to him I ran out of my $20 and then he pressed the spin button only a few times. He ended up winning $220 at the machine next to me. After that he always calls me his lucky charm. On that Saturday he was attending a birthday party at one of our favorite bars called Keys on Main Tacoma. I showed up a little bit later to hangout with him and his friends. Later in the night he ended up just coming over because I was the sober driver and we stayed up talking all night long about the most random stuff. I dropped him off the next day at the barracks. That night people kept asking the two of us why we weren't together, or telling us that we should date. Brandon had to work the next couple days but that didn't stop us from hanging out together. We ended up getting free tickets to a Chris Lane concert at the little country bar in downtown Tacoma. After the concert we walked up to the cars together. As we were leaving we talked about why we weren't together. We realized that there were more pros to become more than friends. Before leaving the bar we had our first kiss. Since then we haven't been apart unless one of us is out of town.
Shortly after Easter Brunch Brandon proposed on the shoreline of the lake in front of the Mendenhall Glacier while visiting Kasandra's family in Juneau, Alaska.
Kasandra grew up in little towns all over Alaska in third grade year her parents moved to Juneau located in Southeast. Growing up she spent a lot of time in the outdoors hunting, fishing, skiing, and camping with both of her parents. After moving to Juneau she started playing sports during the school year to keep her busy. Once Kasandra reached high school she tried out for the varsity cheer team at Juneau Douglas High School. After two years she switched to Thunder Mountain High School were she played Soccer and joined the Cheerleading team. After graduation Kasandra attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. About a week into junior year she realized college wasn't what she wanted to do anymore, she dropped out and moved back to Alaska. After being in Juneau just a few short months Kasandra realized that she wanted to get out town. In December of 2014, Alaska Airlines was looking for customer service agents at the SeaTac Airport in Seattle, Washington. In January of 2015 she packed up and headed back south. Since then she has traveled all over and loved every minute of her job at the airport. However in April of 2016 she was offered a job in Phoenix, Arizona. After living down there for about 6 months ended up moving back to Seattle. While down in Arizona Kasandra got a Australian Blue Heeler named Kimber who has kept her on her toes...(Kimber loves Brandon more) After moving back to Seattle again Kasandra started going out to the country bars again and line dancing as much as she could where she met Brandon. Kasandra would love to hopefully end up living back in Alaska at some point of another depending on where life takes them.
Brandon grew up in a small town located in Southern Pennsylvania right along the boarder of Maryland called Mont Alto. Growing up Brandon would run around town with cousins, and friends causing havoc. As he grew up sports became more and more important in his life. During high school Brandon played Football and Baseball for the Waynesboro Indians, and also when snowboarding in his free time. As he got more freedoms with getting his drivers license he started venturing out of town more often. He would visit all of the American history of Gettysburg, Herseys and his favorite major league baseball team the Baltimore Orioles at Camden yards. After graduation Brandon left to attended college at Shepard University in West Virginia with hopes to someday become a nurse or doctor. However only a couple semesters into college he realize college wasn't for him at this time in his life. Brandon didn't want to go to school but he also didn't want to stay in Waynesboro. In January of 2015 Brandon left for United States Army bootcamp. After 10 weeks he bounced around from AIT in Arizona, to Jump School in Georgia. Before being stationed in Joint Base Lewis McCord in Tacoma, Washington. Since then he has traveled to multiple different places for trainings and deployment. Once Brandon turned 22 in January of 2017 he started going out to the bars a lot more with friends and learning to line dance. He has now become very good at dancing and has picked up many different hobbies. Brandon is wanting to eventually live in Alaska somewhere where he can fish, hunt and do as many things in the outdoors as possible.
