We met at work a short time after he was hired. I wasn't into him right away but he sure was. It didn't take long before we became friends, we spoke daily and spend lots of time together including outside of work. Eventually I admitted to myself that I liked the guy, REALLY liked him. Months went by until he finally decided to do something about his feelings. I crushed his heart a few times, by rejecting him.. I wasn't sure how how much either of us really wanted a serious relationship to work. Until then I couldn't bring myself to say yes to him. By the time we shared our first kiss, I knew he was definitely the one I wanted to spend my days with.
The day was set up as a "triple date" with a couple of friends. We drove out to Santa Fe to go out for dinner. My hubby convinced me into thinking we were heading first to the plaza for a quick photo session before actually going out for our meals. Once there we had a nice walk through the plaza, trying to decide where was a nice place to take pictures. We finally settle in front of a good looking water fountain. While it was our turn to pose, I wrapped my arms around him.. I didn't realize when he got down on one knee and out came the ring. I must have been so nervous and excited that I didn't hear him ask me to marry him! Once I had him ask again, I blurted out YES! while our friends captured the moment.
