Do you have any hotel/travel recommendations?

Answer

The wedding venue is attached to a hotel - Hotel Pestana Palácio Do Freixo - for your convenience! The same hotel group also has another hotel down the street - see our "Travel" page for more information! Otherwise, the venue is located right by city center, and you can easily take an Uber from any hotel in Porto.

What is the weather going to be like?

Answer

Weather during this time of year is expected to be warm with low humidity during the day (~70s Fahrenheit) and cool with a nice breeze at night. Please keep in mind it may get chilly in the evening, so bringing layers may be ideal.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors at the Palacio with the reception taking place in a covered tent.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We would love for everyone to come, but unfortunately only people whose names are on the invitations are invited to our wedding and welcome party.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but only select children whose names are on the invitations are welcome at our wedding and welcome party.

Question

Will there be a bridal shower? Should we bring gifts?

Answer

We have decided to forgo a shower and gifts are not expected, as we understand that traveling to our wedding can be a big expense! Your presence itself is a gift, however, if you cannot make it or are feeling particularly generous, we have a registry on our website.
