See the Travel + Lodging section above for more information and recommendations!
Unfortunately, we're on a tight budget and our ceremony venue enforces a strict capacity, so we can’t afford for all of our guests to bring a guest of their own. Plus ones are therefore by invitation only and we ask other guests to please not bring a plus one. Thank you so much for understanding. If you have a question about bringing kids to the ceremony and/or reception, please reach out!
Kids whose names are listed on the ceremony RSVP are invited to join us at the ceremony. Otherwise, your kids are welcome to join us at the reception (and please make a note of this in your RSVP). Let us know if you need help arranging a babysitter.
Please park at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center (JTRC). Guests will leave their cars at JTRC while we carpool on rented buses to Indian Cove Amphitheater for the ceremony.
Please plan to arrive at Joshua Tree Retreat Center by 12:00pm to allow time for parking and getting onto the bus. The bus will leave at 12:30pm SHARP!
Sorry, nope! Our permit for Indian Cove Amphitheater strictly restricts us to one vehicle, which will be the bus bringing us all from the Joshua Tree Retreat Center (JTRC) to Indian Cove.
Joshua Tree is a semi-rural area with limited public transportation and ride-shares, so having a car makes things much easier. However, if you don't plan to have a car (of your own or a rental car), please email us and we will try to help you coordinate logistics.
We are hoping for sunny highs in the 50s during our outdoor ceremony at Indian Cove Amphitheater, but it could be colder or as warm as mid-60s, and there could even be snow (rare, but possible). Our reception at Joshua Tree Retreat Center will begin with cocktails on an outdoor patio during sunset, after which we will move indoors for dinner. Bring warm layers, as nighttime temperatures can drop to the low 40s.
We invite you to wear something eclectic, unexpected, yet nonetheless YOU! Something on the spectrum of cocktail to extravagant that you’ve always had in your closet or long had your eye on but you don’t normally reach for. Fun aside, our January ceremony involves a short walk through compacted sand, so you might want to avoid stilettos...and remember to wear layers :)
Stay tuned, there are more FAQs and instructions to come... But if you have a burning question, you can email us at alexanderandelena2026@gmail.com.
