It's a forever kind of thing...

We met at church, but let's make it a bit more EPIC! It all started on a starry night - Just kidding, there were no stars, just a broken oven and a baker who couldn't form circular cookies. Lauren and I both lived at 72 Norfolk St (Church Housing). I was one of the first residents at the house, and Lauren moved in a little after I left. Although we would occasionally cross paths at church, we never spoke to each other much until she started inquiring about all the broken appliances at Norfolk. Lauren is an avid baker, or at least she likes to think of herself that way. Anyways, Norfolk has some commercial-grade equipment (a 6-burner gas stove, a huge hood, a flattop, industrial fridge + freezer, and Lauren's favorite, 2 gas ovens). If my memory serves me right, I believe the first message she ever sent me read something like this: "Hi, does the oven work?" and I responded with, "Yes, plus/minus 15 degrees. should be fine". Much later in life, I realized that an incorrect temperature setting is a big deal for a baker. Oops... As I'm writing this, I think Lauren is in the kitchen baking. God works in mysterious ways. Sometimes, all it takes is a broken oven.
