Things To Do

Things to Do in Lincoln (Local) Lincoln is Nebraska’s capital and a classic Midwestern college town. Lincoln is the second largest city in the state. University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) UNL is Nebraska’s flagship university and gives Lincoln its college-town energy. If you’ve ever heard of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, this is home—Memorial Stadium holds tens of thousands of fans, and on fall Saturdays the crowd is big enough to “form the third-largest city in the state”. Nebraska State Capitol A standout Art Deco landmark with a roughly 400-foot tower and an observation deck offering wide views of the city. Haymarket District A restored historic warehouse district with brick streets, local restaurants, bars, breweries, and shops. University of Nebraska State Museum (Morrill Hall) The world’s largest articulated Columbian mammoth fossil, along with exhibits on the Great Plains and regional science.
