We met at the end of freshman year in college at Northwest Missouri State University. We were introduced to each other through a mutual friend and spent the next year as friends. Around a year later, we expressed our feelings for one another.

We started dating around the time the pandemic began, when we were in college. We were very lucky to live close to each other during that time, as that allowed us to still see each other often. Our relationship continued to grow as we finished our remaining time at college together. We were always by each other’s side, spending time with friends, attending Greek life formal events, tailgates, and just enjoying college life together. After graduation, we both moved home to Omaha. Peyton attended graduate school and received her Master’s degree in Medical Nutrition, while Nick entered professional life at a software company. We have lived together for two years and have added two dogs to our little family, Buck and Benny. In Omaha, we like to spend time at the dog bar, play sand volleyball with our friends, and dine out at our favorite spots around town.

Our proposal is one of our most cherished moments together. We shared a private proposal surrounded by beautiful scenery. Nick led Peyton to the spot he proposed by telling her they had family pictures planned. Nick then surprised Peyton with having all our closest friends and family join us for an engagement party, followed by a weekend of celebrating. We had spent so much time talking about our future and it was top of mind for each other. Nick had a lot of nerves leading up to that day, while Peyton had her suspicions "the question" was on its way. This was the best weekend ever!

Now, we can’t wait to begin this next chapter together as husband and wife. Thank you for being part of our story — we can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of you!
