It had already been a fun start to a bachelorette party that Molly was attending when she spotted Sean entering Boatman’s Bar and Grill in a Hawaiian shirt. Molly leaned over to her wing-woman and exclaimed “He’s a babe, right?” Her wing-woman agreed, and to Molly’s embarrassment approached Sean to inform him of her friend’s interest. To Molly’s continued embarrassment, she discovered that Sean would be the Trip Leader for their three boat bachelorette party down the Kennebec River the next day. Whether it was Sean’s training as a Three Rivers Guide or his interest in Molly, he made it to be an exceptionally fun bachelorette party. He didn’t have to take a busload of 16 women into Moxie Falls, nor did he have to set-up back-to-back nights of karaoke, but he did anyways. #AlwaysGuiding After the weekend, Molly returned to Boston where she was residing and Sean stayed in The Forks. Most likely due to Molly’s stubbornness and Sean’s nonchalance, they would begin to see each other on a weekly basis. As Molly moved back to Maine two months later things became more serious. Sean will say it was Molly’s ability to spend a night on top of Mosquito Mountain to watch the Perseid Meteor Shower with a bunch of river guides that won him over. Molly will say that she had already been won over the moment Sean walked into the bar (her intuition is strong). Sean will claim that Molly moved back to Maine for him. Molly will claim that after five years of residing in Boston she was ready to come back to Maine for the ease of access to nature, her family, and friends- emphasizing that Sean was just a bonus. Either way, Molly and Sean are thankful for the way their worlds aligned and have since enjoyed years packed with adventure. We are incredibly stoked to be joining families and spending a lifetime together.
