Is there a gift registry?

Answer

No, no, and NO. We're elated that you'll be joining us in Oregon for our special day and we consider your presence our gift. We're hyper-aware of the costs associated with this destination wedding and hope you'll be able to turn this into a vacation if it suits you. There is no expectation of gift giving of any kind. Seriously. Why else would we put this as our first QA?

What should I budget for?

Answer

We can't account for all your expense and activities but we can at least provide some idea of a baseline which you'll find below. Flights will likely change as time passes. Lodging averages about $250 a night per bedroom depending on whether you get a cabin with others or without. More people in a cabin is more economical of course. Round trips based on Google Flights in July 2021 (1 passenger) Flights into RDM from PHL and BWI range from $400 - $700 depending on which days you arrive/depart. Flights into PDX from PHL and BWI range from $300 - $500 depending on which days you arrive/depart

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Redmond (RDM) - It's about 20 minutes to/from Brasada Ranch. More expensive option but more convenient. Portland (PDX) - About 3 hours to/from Brasada Ranch. Less expensive but will require a shuttle/rental car (which may negate savings on flight).

Should I rent a car?

Answer

You can certainly make the 20 minute Uber to and from Redmond airport but if you plan explore Central Oregon we suggest renting a car. If you plan to go into the Cascades, we strongly advise 4x4 or AWD since roads can be sketchy if there's snow up there.

Where should I find lodging?

Answer

We strongly suggest staying at Brasada Ranch as you'll have acess to the resort and will be in walking distance to all party members. Lodging at Brasada gives you free access to the heated pool, jacuzzi, and gym as well as discounts to other things like the spa or golf course (weather permitting). Tyler & Sarah will reach out once we're ready for you to reserve your lodging. Start thinking about whether or not you want a 4 BR cabin or a single BR suite (or any option in between).

What should I wear?

Answer

Formal attire for the wedding. Honestly, it's one of those times where it may be cool or warm. Check weather before departure and go from there.

Is the wedding indoor/outdoor?

Answer

The (short) ceremony will be outdoors with very near access to indoor warmth. Depending on the weather we may have an indoor/outdoor situation with the venue garage doors opened up.

Will there be any activities that I should know about?

Answer

There's no organized activity that can accommodate everyone but you can find a list of activities on this website. We encourage you to enjoy the adventures that can be found in the area. Feel free to reach out to Tyler and Sarah if you need help organizing something with other guests.

I want to stock up on alcohol, where can I get some?

Answer

You're best selections will probably in Redmond after you land or in Bend where there are many many breweries. However, the ranch does have a store that sells wine and beer so you'll have plenty of options.
