What is the venue like?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors, so please wear shoes appropriate for uneven ground. Social hour will take place in the air conditioned house with access to a shaded patio. The reception space is an outdoor pavilion and has fans and shaded surroundings to keep it cool. Sides will pull down in the event of inclement weather. The Marcraig house will remain open the remainder of the reception.

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes! In fact, we even have some kids involved in the wedding party. This will be a family-friendly event in the case that you decide to bring your children!

What is the dress code?

Answer

August is hot! Come wearing dressy-casual attire by donning your favorite summery dresses of any length, jumpsuits, block heels, wedges, or sandals. For men, button ups, khakis, or other light or dark colored suit pants are all appropriate. Suit jackets are optional and we ask that you please refrain from denim. Will there be a bar?

Answer

No, alcohol will not be served at our wedding. However, we will be providing plenty of non-alcoholic beverages that you will enjoy!

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

There is sufficient parking at the venue and a parking attendant will be there to guide you. It is a short walk to the ceremony site.

Will smoking be allowed?

Answer

Yes, there is a designated smoking area between the pavilion and the restroom. This is the only space on the grounds that guests are allowed to smoke according to the venue.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Only the people addressed on your invitation are invited to the event. The RSVP will include all of those that are invited.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

We understand that unforeseen circumstances arise. Please respond to your RSVP as appropriate and if you discover at any time after you RSVP that you won't be able to make it, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan our final headcount accordingly.
