Right across the street from both the Renaissance and the Residence Inn. Upscale American food (with a new James Beard-nominated chef) with great cocktails and Happy Hour everyday (including weekends!) from 4-6 PM. Try the Fried Chicken or the Smash Burger - you won't be disappointed! **17 minute walk to Reception Venue
Completely unlike any other place on this list is Cuzzy's. Our favorite dive bar in the Twin Cities (and trust us when we say dive bar). Personalized dollar bills taped on the walls and ceilings, but surprisingly excellent bar food and strong drinks. Also serves a mean breakfast. What else can you ask for? **1 minute walk to Reception Venue
Arguably the best chicken wings in the Upper Midwest. Throwback vibes: waiters in ties, amazing original bar. Get the Szechuan Green Beans and the (duh!) Monte Carlo Wings. **6 minute walk to the Reception Venue
One of the newer craft brewers to the area and the closest option to the Reception Venue. Always a great rotating list of taps in a great open air taproom setting. Try any of their taproom-only varieties. **1 minute walk to the Reception Venue
One of the OG craft breweries in the Twin Cities (founded in 2009). Great way to explore the amazing craft brewery scene in the Twin Cities. Try the 300 IPA (our fave!) or one of the many experimental brews they always have on tap. **3 minute walk to the Reception Venue
One of our most frequented bars in the Twin Cities. Chill sports bar with great bar food 'in the streets' (aka during the day), club-like atmosphere complete with DJ 'in the sheets' (aka at night). Great place to pop-in for a snack and some adult beverages, especially if there is a sporting event on. Try the vodka soda or Bud Light! **3 minute walk to the Reception Venue
One of our favorite places to grab a cocktail in the Twin Cities. Also happens to serve one of the top cheeseburgers in the city as well. Get the Parlour Old Fashioned (Young) or the Forest of Illusion (Allison). *6 minute walk from Reception Venue
One of our favorite places for upscale Italian in the Twin Cities. If you're interested, make sure to put in a reservation early! Exceptional items include the Calamarata and Soft Eggs with Lobster Bruschetta. **7 minute walk to the Reception Venue
The sister restaurant to Bar La Grassa, its located right across the hall. Great place to grab a slice (or three) and other Italian and Mediterranean-inspired small plates. **7 minute walk to the Reception Venue
Where we got engaged! A great way to spend a beautiful day in Minneapolis. Phenomenal hiking around a beautiful waterfall (have to take advantage of the 3 days of nice weather we get per year)! If you work up an appetite, be sure to stop by our favorite 'joint' near the falls: Sea Salt Eatery.
Okay so this isn't an ACTUAL recommendation unless, of course, you'd like to visit the very spot that started it all! It has food and drinks, but where it really shines is after dark. Be prepared to encounter anything and everything!
