Amber and Gavin met in March 2017 at a hatchery on Esther Island in Alaska. During that time they discovered they had the same passion for wildlife and the outdoors. They spent many nights watching the northern lights, exploring tide pools and hiking through waist deep snow (which Gavin had to frequently dig Amber's boot out of). Following their time in Alaska, they spent many years exploring Canada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Idaho, Minnesota, and Alabama. They were even lucky enough to adopt a furry friend that enjoys the outdoors just as much as they do (Fenna AKA Fennabobeena). The family of three now resides in the most beautiful place on earth Salmon, Idaho.

Smithgall State Park is nestled within the town of Helen Georgia, which is located in the Appalachian Mountains at the headwaters of the Chattahoochee River. This area is known for its iconic waterfalls, rich history, and trophy trout fisheries.
