Brian and Mackayla met in 2008 through mutual friends. They were both in sixth grade. Mackayla was invited by a friend to go swimming in Morrison Lake. This is the exact lake that Brian's family lives on. A strange boy was swimming at the lake too. Mackayla thought he was kind of weird because he had a staring problem. In Mackayla fashion, she felt she was mean to Brian and needed to apologize. So seven years later she reached out to Brian on Facebook apologizing for being rude. This ignited their fondness for each other and they began dating in late 2015. In June of 2018 Brian asked Mackayla and Oscar of course, to walk on the river trail in Portland. Little did she know she would have a big question to answer by the end of the walk. Brian got down on one knee and asked Mackayla to be his wife. She said YES! On September 4th of 2021 Brian and Mackayla will be married and spend the rest of their lives together. I know you are probably wondering why the happy couple decided on an expensive get away for a wedding. Crystal Mountain is a special place for Mackayla as this is where she grew up skiing. Her great grandparents and grandparents were on the Ski Patrol at Crystal. Mackayla taught Brian how to ski at Crystal and they feel it is a special place to tie the knot!
