This is where we went on our first date and it is still a favourite of ours. Hannah wholeheartedly recommends the chicken salad. This is also a very quaint part of town and is an excellent area to walk down the street and enjoy the day.
One of our favorite restaurants. After we eat, we normally walk next-door to Randolph College's campus.
After a missions conference held at Rivermont Presbyterian, Zach and I wandered around Rivermont Avenue for hours, spending much of our time at Randolph College. This was our first "outing" in getting to know one another, which happened somewhat on accident. We had the beautiful campus to ourselves because the students were on Fall Break 2018. Needless to say, Randolph College is very special to us and we've visited several times since we first "went out."
This is the medical school building where Zach and Hannah do their training. A badge is required to enter the building, but you are free to walk around to the back patio where the view does not disappoint.
Literally the best donuts I've ever tasted. A staple in the Lynchburg area. (They have gluten-free donuts every Tuesday!)
An Owen family favorite. The property is close to Hannah's middle and high schools, abutting the land she ran for five years of cross-country before college.
Liberty University has a beautiful campus to enjoy. Parking during the summer is free, so you are welcome to park almost anywhere and walk around.
A beautiful drive through the state of Virginia that travels all the way into North Carolina.
Hannah's brother Matt portrayed Jack Powers in the play The Bedford Boys, honoring local heroes who died on D-Day.
