One cold winter day in the blistering January of 2016, in the middle of the biggest snow storm Washington DC had seen in over a decade, Marcus' phone softly buzzed with a new notification. It was an alert from his favorite app at the time....Tinder! He proceeded to open the app and there it was.... "A MATCH!!!" it read, followed by the most magical message from his future bride to be.... "Hi, I'm Alex." Such an opening line...Marcus knew in his heart at that moment...this was special. A few weeks later Alex would find herself anxiously waiting as her Prince Charming stumbled into a bar - 40 minutes late for their first date. This usually would have been a huge red flag for Alex, but the roads were quite rough and not to mention by this time she was already two and half drinks in so like "whatevs"....plus her date was quite the looker. So yea...CHEERS! More drinks followed by a ton of dancing, half-eaten tater tots, budgets completely blown, and an overall night of fun and fireworks sealed with a stolen kiss as Marcus closed Alex's uber door. The first date was a success! 6 years later, Alex and Marcus are still dancing the nights away, blowing through budgets together (you'll see at the wedding), and finding the fireworks!
