Unfortunately, Don the Beachcomber in Palm Springs no longer exists. However, its' location is now home to Bootlegger Tiki and it continues the Tiki traditions that made this spot famous.
The Tonga Hut Restaurant and Tiki Bar
The Tonga Hut was originally established in the 1950s in Los Angeles and is LA’s longest-running Tiki Bar. This Palm Springs location has a real old-school tiki vibe. Be sure to explore the secret Tonga Room, hidden inside a telephone booth!

King's Highway
While the Ace Hotel is known as more of a party spot, the King’s Highway Diner located in the hotel's parking lot is not to be missed! It celebrates classic roadside diners with original terrazzo flooring, flagstone walls and leather booths.
Mr. Lyons
Seventy-five years in and this swanky location is still at the top of the city’s food chain. Despite a few modern touches to the 1945 original, Mr. Lyons has all the glamour and vintage charm of a steakhouse during Palm Springs’ heyday with enough of a twist to keep things fresh. Don’t miss Seymour’s, a well-designed speakeasy hidden behind a curtain near the entrance.
Boozehounds Palm Springs
This restaurant and lounge with an open air atrium is a great place to gather for people and their furry friends. Humans can enjoy craft cocktails and seasonal bites while dogs have their very own menu too!
Palm Springs Aerial Tramway
This huge gondola ride built in 1960s offers the best views of Palm Springs.
