Two lovers of live music walk into a bar and the rest is history! It was a Wednesday night in March, 2012. They both had gone out to a local dive bar for the weekly jam night. Brian was new to town and Natalie was a regular to the local music scene. After catching each others glances, Brian sparked up a conversation that lasted the whole night. They closed down the bar chatting together. Their shared love of music and travel has taken them on many adventures. They’ve even been known to sing together a time or two! In November of 2015, the couple set off on their biggest adventure yet, to Machu Picchu in Peru. Natalie had never been on a plane or left the country prior to the trip. It took 3 flights, taxi’s, a train, and a bus to get to Machu Picchu. Once there, Brian somehow convinced Natalie to climb to the highest peak in the park, Wynapicchu. Natalie overcame her fear of heights to climb to what seemed like an unreachable peak. At the very top of the mountain, after a brief pause for photos, Brian dropped down on one knee and asked Natalie the most important question of their lives, ‘will you marry me?’. Of course she said yes and cried hysterically. Little did she know, she had actually carried the ring up the mountain. She was healing from a recent clavicle break and switched packs with Brian when hers became too heavy to carry. The couple are currently building their dream home together in the neighborhood where they met. They took the roof off a one story house, completely gutted it and built a second story. It is a labor of love that they are creating together. They look forward to continuing to build their dreams through travel, music and supporting each others goals and passions.
