We are still getting married on October 3rd, however it will be a small, private ceremony with ONLY our immediate families.
We still intend to throw a big reception party with all of you. However, given the uncertainty still looming day-to-day, we have yet to work out those details. Please continue to check in here and stay in touch for more information!
You bet it is!
We feel extremely fortunate as we were able to move our ceremony to a private estate in San Luis Obispo, CA - on the same day we had originally intended to get married, no less! This location will be the perfect setting for our small, intimate wedding and pays homage to where Laura grew up on the Central Coast. We will make sure to share pictures and videos of the big day so that you can share in the experience after the fact!
Our original wedding plan was undoubtedly going to be spectacular and on top of that it was going to take place with all of you! However, for the past 3 months we have avoided the word "wedding" because it has been mired in so much uncertainty. How many people will be allowed to come? Will we need to social distance? Will we need to wear masks? Can we have a dance floor? Will our vendors still be in business? You probably get the point by now that any wedding-related conversation turned into an unbelievably stressful exercise. So we turned lemons into lemonade. And now we have a new plan to get excited about - and excited is an understatement. We can now resume enjoying our engagement without the constant black cloud of "what ifs" hanging over our head. So when that sadness creeps in (and it still does for us, too), take solace in the fact that we are beyond happy with our decision and cannot wait to eventually celebrate with all of you when things get back to normal!
