For years before we started actually talking, or became friends, we had lots of mutual relationships. However, I always had my eyes on him. In 2017, Manny was in my cousins wedding.. my family then had no idea who he was.. little did we know 8 years later we’d be walking down the aisle for a wedding of our own. In 2019, I was always going to All Star, for those who don’t know, Manny worked here for a little while. My best friend also worked here, and I’d just go to see her every Monday night that summer. There were some times Manny and I would chat, and I’d always think to myself how handsome he was, and how I couldn’t ever be lucky enough to have him.. well.. every now and then he’d stop into my Wawa for cigarettes. He’ll preach to this day how I would “Run” to the register to help him. He got a little suspicious, but always was so sweet. My 26th birthday, I went out with my friends and asked my best friend Katie what she thought of Manny after I gained some liquid courage .. without a thought she was texting him my information and we started talking… now me being me… I was so nervous to hang out with him. I just was worried he wouldn’t like me and I’d do something to embarrass myself.. so after I ditched him not once.. three times.. (I didn’t know this was my last shot with him, he was gonna give up if I ditched him again) I AGAIN needed some liquid courage but I went and hung out with him at Freddy and Nikki’s for Freddy’s birthday, and the rest is truly just history :) A month later, he asked me to be his girlfriend.. Valentines Day he got me a key to the house, and in March/April COVID happened. By May, I moved in.. which was most certainly quick, but man did I fall in love. I always thought when you know, you know was a cliche. They weren’t kidding. Here we are, 5 years later, a home, a dog and a cat, our son on the way and now this year I will share his last name, and our family will be complete 🤍
