It all started with a bold Instagram DM back in 2015. Yorlyn slid into Brittany’s inbox with the very smooth line: “You’re beautiful 😍… why do I feel like I’ve seen you before?” (For the record, he absolutely had not seen her before in his life.) What followed was conversation, laughter… and a very firm friend zone. Brittany made it clear they were just friends — and stayed committed to that decision for an entire year. But Yorlyn? He didn’t give up. He stayed, he showed up, and eventually, persistence won. That one chance turned into 11 years of love, memories, and growing together. One of our favorite chapters began at Remedy’s Diner, a place we loved to eat. When Brittany went to the bathroom, Yorlyn asked the waiter for the bill and wrote these life-changing words on it: “Will you be my girlfriend?” When the bill hit the table and Brittany read it, everything changed — and the rest truly is history. From traveling the world to loving each other unconditionally, we’ve built a life full of laughter, partnership, and deep friendship.
