FAQs

Question

Who should I contact if I have an urgent question

Answer

We will have the program, time and location on your wedding invitation but if you still have questions you can reach out to either of these contacts: Zenaw Ejigu(703-473-7483) Abdi Lemessa(7038693615)

Question

Will there be cocktail hour?

Answer

No, we will not have cocktail hour. After the ceremony, the bridal party, along with close family, will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. We suggest that guests go back to their hotel room or look at the "Things to do" section of our website to look at potential areas to relax around before heading over to the reception venue.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no" on our website so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

TBD

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We welcome all gifts but would prefer monetary contribution to help with wedding expenses and honeymoon. We will have a card table at the wedding but if you prefer to contribute electronically, you can send it to this cashapp - $HawiErmias or Zelle - 917-374-5030

Question

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

We will not be providing transportation but we suggest carpooling with family and friends to reduce traffic and save the earth:)

Question

Will there be a designated person assigned to watch children?

Answer

There will be a lot of open flames(candles) and delicate decoration throughout the venue - we ask that all parents supervise their kids at all times to avoid any injury and disturbance of the program!

Question

Do we have to wear a mask and will masks be provided?

Answer

We will provide masks for those who request it. We ask that guests maintain a healthy distance between each other and keep their mask on unless it is to eat/drink. Thank you for your cooperating during this time.

Question

Who can I speak to if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

The catering main point of contact(Selam) will be onsite to help answer any questions. If you aren't familiar with the type of food being served, we suggest asking those around you to give you more information about the dish.

Question

Will there be a centralized place where we can post wedding photos that we take throughout the day?

Answer

Yes, you can post photos on FB/Instagram using the hastag #Y&H2021. Please be mindful to not take pictures of other peoples kids and also ensure that you have consent from their parents
