Yolima and I went to High School and we met at Fabiola's famous hooky jams (for those wondering - when you skip school and have a party while your parents are working). Yolima is a prayer warrior, amazing mother and has been a sister, best friend and my family for the last 20 plus years! She has seen the good and the not so good but no matter what she always has my back. I am honored that I have you standing next to me!

Fab, the one and only! We use to give each other looks back in High School; never nasty but more like what is that girl about!?? Until that day we finally met at another hooky jam (dag I was a bad girl) and a few girls wanted to fight her; and knowing we went to the same school I stepped in to have her back. Now we can look back and laugh. Fab has an amazing heart made of gold. She is a step-mother and a hard worker! She is a hysterically funny, multi-talented, business-woman and never puts people down. I've never met someone soooo easy going as this beauty. Cherron and I met in 1995 at a nightclub in NYC called, The Tunnel (yes I was under age lol). She was Yolima's friend from college and was part of the group of girls that night. We instantly connected and through the years as we both became mothers still managed the time to stay in touch. Even with the long distance between us we still always find time for each other. We have grown to become the women we are today through all the ups and downs. No matter what our friendship always remained strong and never wavered. Cherron is so sweet and she is an amazing mom! I am so blessed to have you standing with the me on this special day!

It is admirable for me to witness all she has done through out the twenty years of knowing her. I believe that even if your ceremony is not of a religious nature, that when you unite your life to another person's in marriage - it's a holy and reverent moment. There are very few things you will ever do in your lives that will impact you in this way. The purposes of where heaven and earth converge is when a man and woman get married - and approaching it in this way affects and impacts the ceremony in a meaningful way. I love to reach out to people at important moments in their lives and give God an opening to do something great. A marriage is not an old fashioned ritual or a just a legal formality - it is so much more than that, and I promise you I will be keeping that in mind on the day that I solemnize your marriage.
