We met at Chipotle back in 2017. It was fun and games at first but love became a factor. We didn't talk much because she said: "You were always mugging". I'm from Chicago and she's from North Carolina. In Chicago, you couldn't be too nice. There was that age factor as well. I had to show her that "Age ain't nothing but a number". After that, it literally began with the text, "Your loss". And it was up from there.
I knew I wanted to marry this woman. I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. In January of 2018, I bought her ring. I planned on proposing to her on Valentine's Day but when I got that ring, I couldn't help it. I got her ring on February 6th, 2018 and proposed to her that same day at Buffalo Wild Wings. It was a small proposal with our family, her two girls and us. I made a video of me holding up notecards talking about our love and on that last notecard, it said: "Turn around". She turned around and I was there on my knee. I asked and she said "YES!", of course, she did. Here's the funny part, as I go to put the ring on her finger, the little one grabbed the box and refused to let me put it on her finger because she wanted to. It was a battle and she won of course. She was yelling and screaming and I was so hurt but she was the one that put that ring on her finger. All that mattered, was that she had that ring on her finger.
