After years of faithfully walking with the Lord, enjoying the blessings of singleness, and committing to a life of purity, God surprised us both with a beautiful love story — one that only He could write. Before we ever met, we were both on individual journeys of healing, growth, and preparation. Through years of prayer, surrender, wise counsel, and personal transformation, we learned how to trust God completely with our hearts and our future. In 2019, the Lord used our dear mutual friends, Tamekia and Ryan, to introduce us. On our very first double date, we laughed, shared openly, and sensed there was something different here. Still, we were cautious and committed to keeping God at the center of every step forward. From the beginning, we entered our relationship with a shared desire to honor God in every way, especially in our commitment to purity. Our relationship wasn’t built on emotion or pressure but on intention, prayer and deep mutual respect. Over the years, we’ve grown together, supported each other through ups and downs, and built a relationship full of trust, laughter, and lots of love. From road trips to movie nights, every memory brought us closer to this moment. Our journey wasn’t always easy though. There were seasons of waiting, refining, and even letting go, but God remained faithful to us. He used the waiting to strengthen us individually. Through prayer, community, counseling, His grace and perfect timing we were back together…stronger, healed, whole, more surrendered, and even more sure of what God was doing. A few months later on a warm summer day, Yohance surprised me with a thoughtful and intimate proposal in the serene beauty of the Osaka Japanese Garden — a perfect setting for a quiet, sacred "yes" to the future God has prepared for us. We believe marriage is a covenant designed by God, and we’re honored to enter into it His way…with faith, joy, obedience, and trust in His promises. After a combined total of 24 years of abstinence and nearly two decades of personal healing and preparation, we’re excited to begin this next chapter as husband and wife as we’re joyfully preparing to say “I do” on January 2, 2026.
