Flight
This is the closest airport to our venue and the city in general, it is located only 7 miles from Downtown Santa Barbara. As it is a small town and a regional airport, there are fewer airlines and flights that fly in and out each day, so there will be less options and may be more expensive than flying into a major airport like LAX. From this airport, you can easily grab an Uber to take you to Downtown Santa Barbara in less than 15 minutes.
Flight
LAX serves as a hub for more passenger airlines than any other Airport in the country and is the largest airport on the US West Coast, so the options here are endless! You will likely be able to find more flexible flight options at a lower cost than Santa Barbara Municipal Airport. This airport is just under 100 miles from Downtown Santa Barbara so it is about a 1 hour and 45 minute car ride, we suggest either taking an Uber (if you don't need or want a car for the weekend, there are hundreds of Ubers around the LAX terminals any time of day), renting a car (there are MANY rental car companies at LAX to choose from including both big national names and regional companies), or take the Amtrak train that travels from LA to Downtown Santa Barbara over 20 times a day for around $30 and takes about 2-2 1/2 hours - with WiFi!.
Hotel
This is one of our favorite hotels in the area and where we will be staying for the majority of the weekend. They are a pet friendly, boutique hotel with a pool, hot tub, and oceanfront views. This hotel is right off State Street near the Funk Zone and Stearns Wharf, definitely one to check out!
Hotel
The Hyatt is one of the few chain hotels in the downtown area and is also located right across from the beach. It is one of the larger hotels so it will likely not book up as quickly, it is also great for those that have Hyatt points to spend!
Hotel
This is one of our favorite hotels in Santa Barbara, it is more inland than the other hotels we have listed but is right off State Street and in the heart of Downtown Santa Barbara, not to mention the decor looks like it hopped right out of Anthropologie! This hotel is also pet friendly and has a rooftop pool and hot tub with amazing views of Downtown, the mountains and the ocean.
Hotel
This is the hotel we stayed at on our very first trip to Santa Barbara! It is conveniently located right in the middle of the Funk Zone between the beach and the heart of downtown and has one of the best Mexican restaurants in the city right next door.
Travel Note
We will be providing shuttles from Downtown Santa Barbara to our venue in Santa Ynez, which is in the mountains about 30 minutes north of Santa Barbara. We will have more information posted soon regarding when and where the shuttles will be picking you up, so stay tuned! The venue will not allow cars to be parked at the property so you must either take the provided shuttles or take a Taxi/Uber/Lyft.
Travel Note
Through a couple of unforeseen changes, we ended up with two extra King rooms for Saturday night, one at The Hotel Milo and one at The Eagle Inn. If anyone is just coming up for Saturday night or has other accommodations for other nights, please contact Scott or Caroline ASAP if you are interested!!
