When Ashlyn isn’t busy throwing and attending fabulous themed parties, you can find her playing on her dodgeball team. When she isn’t busy doing that, you can find her winning Jeff Goldblum impersonation contests. When she isn’t busy doing that, you can find her singing “Let’s Hear it For the Boy” by Deniece Williams at karaoke so well you’ll wonder why she isn’t a professional singer. When she isn’t doing any of that, you’ll find her being Yocasta’s best friend.
Josh Gibson
Groomsman
Josh met Ian while at Columbia College in Chicago. Factor in countless camping trips, numerous camera jobs, hundreds of beers brewed, thousands of beers consumed and you’ve got 14 years of incredible friendship. Not wanting to miss another moment, Ian moved to California just to be closer to Josh. Because this kind of love can’t be long distance.
Erin Mulvey
Bridesmaid
Erin is taking a break from her job as sunshine personified and taking on the role of a lifetime: one of Yocasta’s bridesmaids. A literal princess with endless smiles to shoot your way, Erin is a lovely person who will absolutely be tearing up the dance floor when ABBA comes on.
Colby Hanik
Groomsman
Colby and Ian have been friends and collaborators since the early days in Chicago. Countless silly videos, extremely inappropriate potty humor, and loads of hours planning the most amazing movie you’ve ever seen. Colby is personally responsible for bringing Ian to Anastasia, and if not for him this whole story my have never happened. We all owe this man a debt of gratitude.
Sophie Ashley
Bridesmaid
A champion of honest communication and vulnerability, Sophie can have you feeling like you’ve made a lifelong friend in 5 minutes. Case in point, Sophie met Yocasta speed dating for a class project in college and in just 2 minutes, a friendship blossomed. You might catch yourself caught up in a deep conversation with her at the bar, unless some 2000s rap is playing in which case she’ll be dancing.
Daniel Hill
Groomsman
acting roll, but with nowhere to stay he called his trusted buddy Ian. With the kindness of an angel, Ian welcomed him into his extra bedroom with open arms. To repay the favor, Daniel imparted years of vast wrestling knowledge, enabling Ian to have the confidence to speak intelligently to Yocasta about Royal Rumble, thus making a stellar first impression.
Lizzie Funk
Bridesmaid
Lizzie is a genuine spark of passion and grounded in her spirituality. A constant student and teacher of yoga, aromatherapy, and reiki, she can make you feel at peace in one conversation. She once got Yocasta to get up at 6am to go to the beach which just goes to show her impactful, positive influence. You’ll no doubt get a taste of it when she hypes you up on the dance floor.
Jeff Green
Groomsman
Jeff and Ian had one of their fist production classes together at Columbia. Instantly bonding over beers, bicycling, and Jeff’s unmatched love for Fleetwood Mac. They’ve had many crazy adventures, the most recent ending with Jeff heroically saving Ian’s life while celebrating an amazing day of motorcycling through Vegas. Turns out sleeping in a pool isn’t as safe as it seems.
Greg Varley
Officiant
Greg met Yocasta after he returned to LA after a 16 year backpacking trip across the Himalayas where his goal was to search for the worlds tiniest pebble. Unable to successfully meet his goal, Greg returned to share stories from his journey with his friends Erin and Sophie. It was that night that Greg and Yocasta first met. Upon the upset of not being able to finish his initial task, it was in that moment that Greg had found his new goal; to befriend this lovely human and one day officiate her wedding. Greg is so excited to share this incredible day with Yocasta and Ian who could not be more perfect for each other. If you would like to hear more about his journey across the Himalayas you will be able to find him on the dance floor after the ceremony probably dancing to Whitney Houston.
