When should I RSVP?

Answer

Give Yomi an early birthday present and RSVP in the website by February 1st, 2020. Also text her and send her flowers for her birthday. jk ;)

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Here on Zola! There is a tab on our website for the registry. If not, try www.zola.com/registry/yoba Don't be scared by the registry prices-- most of the gifts are Group Gifts. What this means is that you can contribute any amount to the gift of your choice. If you'd rather just buy it entirely, contribute the entire amount.

Who is your videographer?

Answer

You! but.... During the ceremony, please let the photographer do her magnificent job without interruption. We will have designated videographers during the ceremony. Sit back and enjoy our vows. During the reception though.... record you heart away. We are using WeddingMix, an app that lets our guests record the events of the wedding from their point of view. Can I bring a date?

Answer

Was your date specifically named in your invitation? Then, probably not. We want people in our wedding who love us and know us. Hope you understand.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We would rather for kids to stay at home. We have limited space and intend to party. Please make it a date night. You will thank us later. If you must, please check with the bride or the groom beforehand. There will not be kids activities or special food.

Are pets welcome?

Answer

No, Yomi is allergic to dogs and cats (medically proven). Don't be a smarty pants and try to ask for any other pet.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The only request is not to come in all black. We are throwing a wedding, not hosting a funeral. Also, do not dress all white; leave that for the bride or for Jane Fonda in Monster-in-Law.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have group discounts at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Dallas - Campbell Centre and at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dallas Downtown. Otherwise, use Airbnb or other house sharing platforms in the neighborhoods suggested. See details in Travel tab in the website.

Only if it is a matter of life or death.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Ceremony and reception are in the same place (The Filter Building) which has a free parking lot

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Not provided by us; however, Ubers are very accessible.
