We met at work in 2017, we would pass by each other and always say hi but never thought much of it. Then a bunch of us went out for food and drinks one night. After a couple of songs Alexa made a joke saying Yiovanni doesn't like to dance and didn't want to ask her. He automatically replied "If I dance with you, you're going to fall in love with me". After that first dance I'm embarrassed to say he was right, We spent the rest of the night talking, laughing, and dancing. That’s pretty much when we thought, "Okay. This could be something." Después de ese primer baile, me avergüenza decir que tenía razón. Pasamos el resto de la noche hablando, riendo y bailando. Eso fue más o menos cuando pensamos: "Está bien. Esto podría ser algo".

We decided to take our first summer trip to Dominican Republic. After an amazing day of riding ATV's, jumping in caves, and swimming in the beautiful beaches we came back to the hotel to freshen up and go to dinner. On our way to the room we ran into a lovely couple from London we had met the night before. They invited us to join them to visit a coffee shop on the resort. After coffee we were strolling through the resort and there was a beautiful pavilion with ponds and statues around. I asked the couple to please take a picture of me and Yiovanni. In that moment Yiovanni asked our new friends to please record the moment. As we are taking what I thought were pictures, I see him drop to one knee. At first I didn't think it was real and truthfully told him to get up. Once I stepped back and realized I gasped and dropped down to meet him on the floor. He grabbed my hand and asked me to marry I him. I shouted "YES," and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. Después de un día increíble de andar en vehículos todo terreno, saltar en cuevas y nadar en las hermosas playas, regresamos al hotel para refrescarnos e ir a cenar. De camino a la habitación nos encontramos con una pareja encantadora de Londres que habíamos conocido la noche anterior. Nos invitaron a unirnos a ellos para visitar una cafetería en el resort. Después del café estábamos paseando por el complejo y había un hermoso pabellón con estanques y estatuas alrededor. Le pedí a la pareja que por favor nos tomara una foto a mí y a Yiovanni. En ese momento Yiovanni pidió a nuestros nuevos amigos que por favor grabaran el momento. Mientras tomamos lo que pensé que eran fotografías, lo veo caer sobre una rodilla. Al principio no pensé que fuera real y sinceramente le dije que se levantara. Una vez di un paso atrás y me di cuenta de que jadeé y me dejé caer para encontrarme con él en el suelo. Me agarró la mano y me pidió que me casara con él. Grité "SÍ" y nos comprometimos. Estamos muy emocionados de celebrar este próximo capítulo en nuestras vidas contigo.
