Bald Head Island Ferry

20-minute passenger ferry ride will transport you from the ferry terminal at Deep Point Marina in Southport, NC to the harbor at Bald Head Island. BHI Ferry has opened the rest of their 2025 calendar for advance booking. We highly recommend purchasing your ferry and tram tickets far in advance. Peak hour time slots will fill up quickly. They are fully refundable, and you can always modify the time for the reservation later on. It is especially important to secure a tram reservation when purchasing the ferry tickets for both your arrival and departure. The tram is included in the price of your ferry ticket. It is a $0 add-on option that must be selected in a few areas during the purchasing process. Deep Point Marina Address: 1301 Ferry Rd SE, Southport, NC 28461 There are no cars on the island - only golf carts! If you plan on having a car, please plan on leaving your vehicle parked in a secure lot on the mainland at Deep Point Marina. Parking is $12/day. Please plan to arrive at the ferry terminal at least 30 minutes before your departure time to allow enough time to drop off your luggage, park your vehicle and get to the loading zone. For any questions about ferry, tram or parking, please refer to the number and website below: 910.457.5003

Multiple Airports

Wilmington International Airport (ILM) is the closest airport to the island and is approximately a 40-minute drive to Deep Point Marina. Taxis, Uber, and rental car agencies are all available for transport from Wilmington International to Deep Point Marina. Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) is 1.5 hours away from the marina and offers the same ground transportation as Wilmington airport. Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) is a 2.5 hour drive to the marina but has a larger selection of flights to choose from at a lower price.
