Wedding Party

Michelle Doan

Maid of Honor

You will likely find Michelle third-wheeling some couple, making puns, or traveling the world. Michelle and I met in 2016, and my first words to her were "I like your jacket." Since then, we have cultivated a friendship full of laughter, yummy food, and deep talks. Michelle is one of those people who will stay by your side no matter what life throws at you. She constantly lives life on God's mission and has encouraged me so deeply in my walk with the Lord. Maid of honor? She's more like made of honor.

Carson Mitchell

Bridesmaid

You will likely find Carson at Ulta buying unnecessary beauty products, or in the classroom where she spends hours investing in her students. Carson and I met in grad school and she was the greatest gift God could have given me in that season. She is the most care-free, laid back human I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and she definitely made the grad school suffering so bearable. She has been such a constant in my life the past two years, and I'm so thankful that we crossed paths.

Doris Hsu

Bridesmaid

You will likely find Doris making, eating, or dreaming of ice cream. I first knew of Doris through our friend Michelle, and I even ended up making some signs for her engagement party and doing her bridesmaids' makeup for her wedding all while knowing close to nothing about this girl. Since officially meeting and hanging out, though, we have shared such an inexplicable and special bond. Doris has the sweetest soul, but please don't cross her when she's hangry. Our friendship is what I've prayed for and I'm so happy to have her by my side!

Andrea Yeung

Bridesmaid

You will likely find Andrea cheering on the Warriors at a game or cuddling up with her sweet pup Mo. In the beginning of any relationship, there's always the pressure to impress the family, but Andrea was always so laid-back. She has opened my eyes to the beauty of HGTV and Family Feud, and now I can say I'm a little more educated about basketball too. Andrea's gentle and calm spirit puts everyone around her at ease, and I'm so excited to call her my sister.

Tim Chang

Best Man

Tim is one of my oldest friends. Growing up, we shared interests in gardening, Lord of the Rings and philosophical conversations. We bickered a lot in our younger years and at times it seemed as if we were at odds in almost everything. Most notably however, we were different in their approach to their faith. I was comfortable with sticking to the status quo while (to my annoyance), Tim always asked why. "Why do we believe in the Bible?" "Why is Christianity important in our lives?" "Why can't you understand?" It took me some time to come around to it, but these questions laid the groundwork to help me personalize and develop my own faith. I am excited for what the future holds for this dear friend and brother.

Casey Seo

Groomsman

I used to think that I was adventurous until I met Casey. He was bold, fearless and was willing to try (almost) anything at least once. Whether it be crazy camping trips, pranks, or simply burning things, He showed me that maybe sometimes, it's ok to relax. While we did not always get along, I always respected the humility with which he carried himself. Even if I had wronged him, Casey was always willing to hear me out and mend the relationship. His patience and faithfulness as a friend was something that I have never forgotten. I hope one day I can be as dutiful a friend to others as Casey has been toward me.

Josh Siu

Groomsman

Josh has been and continues to be a dear friend to me. His pensive, yet intentional nature have not only challenged me to think deeply about I initially thought were trivial issues, but have also allowed us to bond in a way that neither of us anticipated. In more recent times, his friendship has been indispensable to me because of his wholehearted reliance and joy he has in God. It is largely due to his counsel and friendship that I was able to navigate through some of the most difficult times in my life. I am forever indebted to Josh and look forward with eagerness to what the future holds for the both of us.

Josiah Loh

Groomsman

Before Matt and Josiah were even born, their mothers were already very good friends. As many good friends do, their mothers would spend countless hours shopping and chatting together. Unfortunately for young Matt and Josiah however, they had no choice but to come along and be bored out of their minds. This mutual suffering has laid the foundation of a friendship that would last throughout the years. Many of their earliest and fondest memories are with each other; Hours and hours of computer games, summer sports camps, early crushes on girls, and church events are just a few of the memories the two share. Josiah has proven himself to be as loyal a friend as he is honest and caring. Matt is truly blessed to be able to count such a man as one of his best friends.

Marty Smith

Officiant

Marty has been such a model to us about what a life transformed by the Gospel looks like. Even in times of adversity, Marty has continued to encourage us to love and pray for our fellow man. Through his faithful service to us and our church, he has taught us so much about loving and sacrificing for one another. We are truly honored to have such a man of character officiating our wedding.
