FAQs

Question

How should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by clicking the RSVP tab on the menu above.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In order to keep our wedding events as intimate as possible, only the guests formally invited on your wedding invitation will be accommodated. If you received a plus one, they will appear when you RSVP.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

On Friday, we are kindly asking that all guests do not bring their children unless specified on the invitation due to extremely limited space. On Saturday, there will be loud music, bright lights, and cocktails flowing. We want to give all our guests the opportunity to have the evenings off kiddo-duty and enjoy themselves with all our loved ones.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

FRIDAY: Yes! Please join us for cocktails & mocktails all evening :) SATURDAY: We will have an open bar for a portion of the night, then will switch to cash bar.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Great question! FRIDAY Please plan to arrive by 4:45, as the ceremony will start promptly at 5:00. As noted in the transportation tab, there are shuttles to and from the wedding. There are NO Ubers/Lyfts in the area and there is extremely limited parking near the residence. SATURDAY Please plan to arrive by 6:30.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

FRIDAY Parking near the Prewitt residence is reserved for our vendors, so you must park on the gravel road leading to the home (60th Street NW). It is a 0.7 mile walk to the home and there will not be a shuttle. You are also welcome to park at the hotel and take the shuttle to and from the wedding. SATURDAY There are plenty of parking options around Day Block Brewery. There are also numerous rideshare options around the metro.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

FRIDAY Dressy Casual We want you to be comfortable at our wedding! Feel free to wear sundresses, lightweight separates and flats or wedge heels for the outdoor ceremony on the lawn. Alternatively, guests can wear a light dress shirt with khakis or other lightweight slacks; jackets and ties are optional. Because our wedding is outdoors, don't forget to bring sunglasses and a jacket in case it gets chilly in the evening. SATURDAY Funky Cocktail: Love Edition We would love to see you in shades of pink, purple, and red! Black & silver are also perfect. Think a fun mini dress, jumpsuit, bell bottom pants, a sequin jacket, glitter, feathers - something you feel amazing in but haven't had the chance to wear!

Question

Inside, outside? What should I plan for? HELP!

Answer

FRIDAY Our wedding ceremony, cocktail receptions, and dancing will be outdoors. We will be having a tented dinner reception. Although it's the middle of June, please be sure to check the weather and dress accordingly. Don't forget your sunglasses! SATURDAY The entire event is indoors and it is going to get ~HOT~ on that dance floor.
