Once upon a time, a foolish high school senior forgot to bring a rain jacket with her to school. She got soaked on her way into the building and, freezing, began begging anyone and everyone for a jacket. She even asked a boy she didn't know very well. He said yes you can borrow my jacket, walked the girl to his locker, and has been walking by her side ever since. Nick and I have grown up together. From the hallways of Mcintosh High School to the rolling hills of Athens we have stayed together through thick and thin. Now we are beginning the rest of our lives together and we are so thrilled that you are a part of it!
On April 28, Nick and I flew to New York City to spend some time with his family. Nick wanted to make sure that I enjoyed myself so he said that he would take me for afternoon tea at the Plaza Hotel. Anyone who knows me can tell you that I love all things tea, and if you can make a fancy day out of drinking tea sign me up! On Sunday, we got dressed up and went with his mom down to 5th Avenue. We walked around Central Park for a little while before going into the hotel. After tea (which must have felt agonizingly long to poor Nick!), he disappeared. Little did I know he was asking the hostess to start filming. Nick got down on one knee in front of everyone in the restaurant and said, "Kristina would you like to marry me?" and of course I said yes!
