The Ripplingers

Corey and Sam both worked at Disney in 2019 at the restaurant Lamplight Lounge in California Adventure. Initially, they both were dating other people, and didn't cross paths too often at work. Overtime, they began working more aligned schedules, and that's when their friendship began. Sam, being the overly-friendly person that she is, made Corey talk to her one night when they were closing together. As they sat and typed their end-of-day notes, she began her usual 50+ questions, making our introvert spill everything about his life and the major changes he was going through at the time. After that, Sam felt an obligation to chat with her new 'friend' whenever she saw him. She liked asking how he was doing, trying to make sure he wasn't stressed, and wanted to make sure he felt like he had someone he could talk to. That's when she realized, she was starting to like him. ** Mind you, we all know Sam can talk forever, but it does not mean she has game... ** She once messaged Corey about popcorn as a 'flirting' tactic just because they spoke about it one day at lunch. He left her on read... and here they are now, getting married! Corey didn't have the best game either, and didn't even think Sam liked him. Thankfully, for him and Sam, 'The Boys' were able to spell it out and help point out Sam's obvious efforts at work everyday. Corey finally asked Sam on a first date, which was supposed to be at Golden Road in Anaheim, until they drove up to a closed brewery. Their quick solution was to head back to Disney and eat across the street at The Pizza Press. Over a few slices and a couple beers, they got to know each other, and learn about the weird coincidences between them like having the same injury on their thumbs due to sports, both being band/orchestra kids, and their parents having the EXACT same names... weird, I know. Fast forward to September 2023, and our couple is going out of the country together. They planned a big trip to Europe to celebrate their birthdays, Sam's first time out of the country, and what would also be their 4-year anniversary. As Sam and Corey made their way to their terminal, Sam's mom and Gma in foot to say an exciting good-bye, Corey kneels down and proposes. Sam was in complete shock as she awkwardly stood in front of him, overwhelmed with joy, and said yes. As she turned to her mom and Gma, looking for confirmation this was really happening, she was surprised to find the rest of their friends and family there, cheering in support. As amazing as their entire trip was, that moment will always be her favorite part. Corey and Sam are now living in their own condo in Long Beach, with their two kitties (Chloe and Roux), happily anticipating their wedding date. They have grown so much together, both personally and professionally, and cannot wait to see what this next chapter has in store for them. They are extremely thankful for all of you, and for being a part of their story.
