Love

On a warm beautiful spring day, he whisked me and my mother away to Saint Augustine,FL. We toured the area and ate and soaked in the sun. On a Sunday we visited the Kingdom Hall and he disappeared for a while and said we would catch up later. So me and my mom grabbed brunch at a beautiful Seafood spot in the area. Took pictures of the Palm Coast School for Jehovah’s Witnesses. Then, my mother got the call and was looking for something to cover my eyes with. We drove to Washington Oaks Gardens State Park. It was gorgeous all the flowers were in bloom, such a lush hidden gem. Then, I was asked to close my eyes, as my mother walked me to my soon to be Fiance at the Garden Pagoda. He took my arm and led me each step. Then, he asked me to open my eyes. I was in shock because the garden was gorgeous, the pagoda had lanterns hanging, a pink and red flower heart, large floor lanterns with candles. Our initials and various memorable photos, a rose gold heart and various knick knacks all carefully chosen to fit the romantic motif. How could he pull this off, how did he hide all these items in the car, and set this up in such a short period of time with no help, to this day I don’t know. Oh and to top it off he had hand painted easel with two of my favorite verses from Proverbs Chapter 31. He shared a few verses and his feelings. He then knelt down took out a red box and asked me to marry him. I said Yes! Then he gave me a beautiful Bride to be white and rose gold sash. We took breathtaking pics, all perfectly captured by my love. As a child, my favorite movie was The Sound of Music, the gazebo reminded me of a specific scene that I just had to reenact. So that's what we did. Then, we caught some beautiful scenery at the beach and we headed off to enjoy our first meal as Future Mr and Mrs Ortiz.
