Like many great love stories, ours began with a classic sorority girl and fraternity boy meeting at a college party in the fall of 2019. We were both at a fraternity party when we first crossed paths. At one point during the night, we found ourselves in the same room, where he offered me a sip of his Whataburger drink. I politely declined—but I remember thinking there was something special about him. Later that night, he asked for my number. Being a little nervous, I didn’t give him my number… but I did give him my Snapchat. Something we still talk about to this day. After weeks of talking and getting to know each other, I decided to ask him to my sorority formal. His response? “Let me check my calendar first.” Despite the joke, he said yes—and not long after, we went on our first official date at Chuys in Denton. Not long after that first date, we made it official and became boyfriend and girlfriend. What started with a simple offer of a Whataburger drink and a Snapchat exchange turned into a relationship filled with laughter, memories, and a love that has grown stronger every year—eventually leading us to starting our lives in Bentonville and where we get to say “I do.”
