Question

Will there be transportation from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

Ollie the Trolley will be making a loop around the lake to pick guests up from their cars. Ollie will take you to the ceremony area, to the reception, and back to your vehicle. Please arrive early to insure we can start the ceremony on time! Ollie will be making its loop starting at 4pm.

What about COVID?

Answer

Good question!! We still fully plan on getting married, but completely understand if you feel uncomfortable / have health concerns and cannot attend. We are tossing the idea around of a zoom ceremony so those unable to come can still experience our day. If you feel ill, please stay home! The ceremony and reception are both outdoors, so social distancing is definitely possible.

Is there a block of hotel rooms?

Answer

Yes! We have reserved a block of rooms at the Fairfield Inn in Fremont. It is a short 15 minute drive to the Lake from Fremont. (Derrick would know because he did that drive multiple times in the summer to make it home before curfew during college summers)

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

The actual ceremony will be outside on the sand by the river on Legge Lake. The reception will be at the Schiermeyer's residence.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, Molly & Derrick will take a few photos before heading to the reception for their grand entrance as husband and wife. The reception will begin shortly after the ceremony ends, there's a heckuva lot of eating and dancing to be done!

Where should I park?

Answer

More details to come! But there will be a lot to park in and a shuttle to take you to the ceremony & reception! Parking is free. The address is 184 Legge Lake, North Bend, NE 68649.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered at Target, Amazon, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Sur La Table and we have a couple of fund pages to help us with our Honeymoon and our Board Game Nights. Find these on the registry page!

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

We are sorry that you can't make it but we kindly ask that you RSVP with a "no", so we aren't waiting for you to get the party started!

Can I take and post pictures on social media?

Answer

We ask that during the ceremony that you keep your phones and cameras away and enjoy the moment with us! We hired Trin Jensen to document our day for us and we are really excited for her to help share our day! However before, and after the ceremony as well as at the reception we want all of your photos to have the #yeptotheshep so we can go back and look at your experiences during our day! PLEASE USE OUR PHOTO BOOTH AREA!!! (-:

What type of food will be served / will there be substitutes for allergies?

Answer

We will be having some amazing BBQ from The Hub in Omaha, NE. There will be vegetarian sides available + gluten free options for those who need it!

What time is the reception expected to end?

Answer

Although we would love to party all night long, North Bend city ordinance requires us to be quiet at midnight. So we are going to do last call at 11:30 and start packing up around then as well!
