For Those Out of Town

If you're traveling in for the wedding, we’re so excited to have you here. If you're flying out Sunday and have some time, we’ve put together a few of our favorite spots nearby—this is what you can catch the locals doing on a weekend: good food, warm drinks, and easy indoor options. If you’re up for exploring, other parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan are always worth the trip. We’re so happy you made the trip to celebrate with us. November in New York is definitely on the colder side, so plan for layers and cozy plans.

Mermaid Spa

3703 Mermaid Avenue, Seagate, NY 11224

Our go-to all winter long. If you’re leaning into the cold-weather experience, this is it—hot rooms, cold plunges, and a full reset. You can usually find Leo (and occasionally Michelle) here most weekends. Banya season is on!

Roll N Roaster

2901 Emmons Avenue, Sheepshead Bay, NY 11235

Quick, casual, and worth it

Brennan & Carr

3432 Nostrand Avenue, Madison, NY 11229

Old-school, no-frills, and known for the roast beef. Quick, filling, and straight to the point.

L&B Spumoni Gardens

2725 86th Street, Gravesend, NY 11223

If you have a few minutes, grab a square slice. If you have an hour or two, sit down at the restaurant.
