We’re getting married!

We met online through a dating app—who would have thought? We discovered that we share mutual friends, which helped us connect. Our first date was Friday, November 18, 2022, at District Table and Tap in Norfolk. I (Hayley) was recovering from a head cold and considered rescheduling our date to ensure I would have a chance for a second date. Meanwhile, Michael was worried I was trying to avoid the date. Ultimately, the date occurred. We sat at the bar enjoying water, pizza, and a one-man band serenading us with "Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears. Just 48 hours later, we enjoyed our second date in Columbus. From there, our relationship took off. Fast forward 1.5 years later, we have moved in together and begun renovating our home in Columbus. Liza, Hayley's siamese cat, is still unsure of the "spare human" (Michael), but Michael is working on it every day with lots of treats. We are incredibly grateful for all the wonderful influences in our lives that have shown us what marriage and true love are truly about. We can't wait to celebrate with our closest friends and family and dance the night away with a great band. Get ready to boogie down all night with the McGuires!
