Question

Transportation

Answer

San Jose Costa Rica is the closest airport, transportation from airport to Rio Perlas spa/area, (taxi, uber Lyft etc) is available in the area. Rates are almost $100 per ride on rush hour. If we coordinate the flights to get to San Jose Costa Rica around the same time, we can coordinate transportation from the Airport to Rio Perlas.

Question

If you are interested in renting a car

Answer

Don’t rent a car online, it’s better to do it in person unfortunately there are a lot of scammers online. https://www.walkmyworld.com/posts/rental-car-scam-costa-rica

Question

Uber Is Technically Illegal in Costa Rica — But Everyone Uses It Because It’s Usually Cheaper Than Taxi

Answer

Uber in Costa Rica operates in a legal gray area but continues to function. Drivers often state their name to avoid issues with the police and may ask passengers to sit in the front seat to appear less conspicuous. Uber is generally more affordable than traditional taxis.

Question

Does Yeimi recommend staying in the same hotel for the entire vacation?

Answer

No, Costa Rica has so much more to offer! Cartago is nice, but there are many other places you could visit.

Question

Can I stay in an Airbnb instead of Rio Perlas?

Answer

Yes, you can stay wherever you prefer. Please note that transportation will be provided from Hotel Rio Perlas to the venue and back. However, if we coordinate your stay in advance, we may be able to arrange transportation to pick you up and bring you back.
