We met at Social Capital in OKC on a warm summer night in May. I was in town to celebrate my mother's 60th and we cruised on over to Social Capital for a nightcap on their rooftop deck. As we watched the sunset, I noticed this guy come in and sit by himself on the bar top overlooking Scissor Tail Park. I thought "he's cute" and kept the night going with my mom. I stepped away to grab some more drinks and food for us and when I returned, to my surprise, was that same guy sitting across from my mom just chopping it up like they've been friends for years. I sit down beside him and introduce myself and talk the night away. Later, he'll tell me someone took his spot at the bar top over looking the park, but we all know the real truth. I told him I was in town for a brief moment and live in Dallas, TX. We exchanged numbers and parted ways from Social Capital, but not before making plans to hang out the next day. The very next day we had our first date and 1000's of miles from OKC to Dallas and vice versa, this is where God has planned for us to be. Neither of us knew at that moment, how much we would mean to each other years later. We are glad to say, we wouldn't have it any other way.
