Question

Where is the wedding venue? Are the ceremony and reception held at the same location?

Answer

The wedding will be held at Cape Horn Estate venue, the address is 81 Woodard Creek Rd, Stevenson, WA 98648. Yes, both the ceremony and reception will be held continuously at Cape Horn Estate.

Is there a dress code? What colors should I avoid wearing?

Answer

Yes, the dress code is semi-formal garden party attire. Please note that the wedding ceremony and reception will be held outdoors. Please avoid wearing solid gold/champagne, as this is the primary color of our bridesmaids attire. Of course, please avoid wearing white to the wedding!

How far away is the wedding venue from Tri-cities, WA?

Answer

The venue is about a 3 hour 20 minute drive by car. We highly recommend that our guests stay overnight in the area so that they can enjoy the party without having to make the drive home in the dark! Please see our "travel" section for a list of local accommodations available .

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 4:00pm. Please arrive no earlier than 3:30pm.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please refer to our "travel" section of the wedding website, where you will find a list of local accommodations.

When should I RSVP by? What if I miss the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 6th, 2024. While we will attempt to reach out to those who have not RSVP'd before our deadline, we are unable to accept late responses past August 6th, so please try to RSVP before then!

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes, the venue has two parking lots available, the main entrance parking lot and the overfill parking lot. A section of the main entrance parking lot is reserved for the bridal party, immediate family, and disabled/elderly guests. Otherwise, please feel free to park there if space is available! Otherwise, the overfill lot is located down below the venue; the entrance to the lot is on Hwy 14, next to the Skamania general store.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift? Do you have a registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is all that we ask for! If you'd still like to honor us with a gift, you can find our registry on our wedding website under the "registry" tab. We will also have a card box at our gift table at the reception should you prefer to provide a gift in person!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, unless you were specifically allotted a plus-one on your invitation, we are unable to accommodate any extra guests at our wedding due to limited capacity. Please reach out to us with any concerns regarding this!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love kiddos and would love to have them all present, we are limited on guest capacity at our wedding. We hope you can take this as an opportunity to have the night off and get to be fully present and enjoy the party! If you have any concerns regarding this, or would like to bring your children along, please reach out to us!

Is there transportation to and from hotels to the wedding venue?

Answer

Transportations will be at the discretion of the wedding guests. Ride-sharing services like Uber can be utilized and should be available for guests to use for transporting themselves to and from their accommodations to the venue.

Is there WiFi / cell service available at the venue?

Answer

Due to the rural location of the venue, cell service may be spotty and unreliable, so please keep this in mind when traveling to our wedding! Wifi should be available to guests during the wedding.

Will there be alcohol served at the wedding?

Answer

Yes, we will be serving a limited selection of alcohol at our wedding. We ask that guests be aware of their own alcohol consumptions and limitations, and please do not drink and drive. There are UBER services you can use that will shuttle between the venue and your accommodation.

What's the weather like in the area?

Answer

September in the region can range from sunny and mild to cool and breezy. Guests can anticipate the daytime to be mild (low to mid 70's) and the evening to be a bit cooler (low 60s). The wedding celebration will be held entirely outdoors, weather permitting. If the weather becomes unpleasant and compromises the reception, we have an indoor reception space that we will move the party to.

Will dinner be served during the reception?

Answer

Of course! We will be serving dinner Buffet-style at the start of the reception. Food options will include steak and salmon, with vegetarian sides as an option. If you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies, please let us know asap before the event!

Which major city/airport is the closest to the venue?

Answer

The wedding venue is closest to Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR. The closest major airport is Portland International airport (PDX). Please refer to the "travel" tab for additional information.
